Your Credit Score

October 11, 2011 by admin · Leave a Comment

Most people would battle to imagine a world in which there was no credit available. Credit certainly makes our lives easier in that we can enjoy what we need before we have the full amount in cash to pay for it. However, the world of credit is also a playing field for criminals who are always on the lookout for opportunities for identity theft.

Identity theft is a process where one steals the personal, identifying information of another in order to use that information fraudulently. For example, someone might steal your social security number and bank account details and then take out a loan in your name, use your available credit, or steal your money from your account. Therefore, it is very important to protect your identity, or you might find yourself in debt with a very poor credit score.

There are several things you can do to protect your identity, such as keeping all financial statements, checkbooks, social security information out of sight; review your financial statements at least twice a month so that you pick up any fraudulent activity early. Avoid giving out your social security number. Monitor your credit score regularly: if you notice a change in your credit score, this could alert you to identity theft. You should look into free credit score sites and get your free credit score sent to your e-mail. When applying to any site that offers free credit score read the fine print. Many advertise free scores although they end up charging you. What I recommend is to subscribe to a credit bureau who will not only give you your credit score on a regular basis, but will also monitor your credit activity for any signs of fraudulent activity. What better way could there be to ensure that you maintain a good credit score and do not fall victim to crime which could have devastating economic effects on you and your family.

West Seattle Soccer Fields Begin Final Conversion to Synthetic Turf

December 29, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

One of the main reasons that more parks, athletic fields and schools are switching from natural grass to synthetic turf is the cost. Artificial grass prices have never been lower, and installation is more affordable than ever. When you also take into consideration the additional long-term artificial grass cost benefits of reduced maintenance and longer-lasting fields, it makes sense for organizations to make the switch.

A good example is the Walt Hundley Playfield in Seattle’s High Point district. The field is one of the only two lighted dirt fields in Seattle; however, that will change thanks to a city grant which will allow officials to install a new fake lawn. The synthetic turf fields will be used for soccer, ball sports and other activities. According to West Seattle Soccer Club leader Tim McMonigle, the synthetic field will help eliminate the messy field conditions and postponed matches which have plagued events at the Walt Hundley Playfield in recent years.

Zappos – They’re Not Just About Shoes Anymore

December 2, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

Zappos is one of the most popular online retailers on the planet. And the company’s surge in fame has come quickly. After all, the company started off as an online shoe store back in 1999, specializing in name brands, like Dr. Martens shoes.

Now, more than a decade later, Zappos has grown to become a go-to source for shoes, clothes, accessories, and handbags. And, they haven’t become popular by selling knock offs or cheap junk. Zappos specializes in name brands – but offers them at prices that real people can actually afford!

A little goofy in its marketing approach, Zappos prides itself on providing amazing customer service. Look through reviews, and you’ll see that customers are thrilled with the company’s vast selection, free shipping, fast delivery, and super-friendly employees. In fact, many customers brag about getting their orders in less than 24 hours – much faster than other online retailers that keep you waiting for days or weeks on end!

Those glowing reviews are the main reason why Zappos has grown so quickly, and keeps on expanding. The company started off doing one thing well – selling shoes. Now, they do a bunch of things well, and customers have taken notice!

mapcommunications1Map Communications is a company that offers a great call center service. An essential feature that any modern business should have is excellent customer support services. It is essential because customers nowadays have a million different choices. Therefore retaining customers is an absolute necessity and one of the best ways to do that is to maintain good relationships with them.

However, with many businesses going online this has become somewhat of a problem. This is because online businesses cater to a global market and with a global market comes a 24 hour service. Maintaining a 24 hour helpdesk or customer support is sometimes impractical due to the cost factor. From allocating office space to hiring, training and monitoring staff – everything represents a cost.

Once of the easy way out of this is to use a call center. Many companies offer the use of a virtual call center for businesses at a very attractive rate. They can do this simply because of economies of scale. It is their business to employ, train and monitor these employees and to source out the space from which to run the service. Since the whole business is about answering calls for someone else, many different clients can be handled by them and therefore bring down the cost associated with running a 24 hour operation.

These services can be taken on a time slot basis or a complete 24/7 basis as well. The flexibility and low rates make this one the bet support services for any business. If you want to learn more, simply look no further than www.MapCommunications.com.
