Appolicious – Google’s entry into the desktop web browser market, Chrome, has rocketed in popularity since its release back in 2008, but it has never quite made the logical leap to Google’s Android operating system – until now, that is.

Outfit7’s Talking Tom Cat app breaks 100 million downloads, gets new partnership (Appolicious)

Google’s browser tops 20 percent market share: report (Reuters)

Reuters – Google Inc’s Chrome Web browser has grabbed more than 20 percent of global market share, while Microsoft Corp’s long-time leader Internet Explorer has slipped below 50 percent, according to Internet statistics firm StatCounter.

Google says Chrome to power only notebooks only for now (Reuters)

Reuters – Google Inc will keep the focus of its Chrome operating system on notebooks, and has no immediate plan to make it available on tablets or to merge with its popular Android software for smartphones, said a senior executive.

Sony to restore most PlayStation services this week (AFP)

AFP – Sony said Tuesday it plans to restore by this weekend PlayStation Network services worldwide except in Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea, after being targeted in a massive online attack in April.

We won’t know about some important aspects of the Chrome OS laptops until we get our hands on one, and other questions are largely about the viability and reliability of laptops that are entirely web-based.
